Channel Class 40 Cruise Adventures

£550  Book_Button_Small  Dates_Button_Small

Enjoy the journey, not just the destination. Build your sailing skills and experience, cruise new and unfamiliar waters beyond the Solent and gain more sea miles, whilst sailing a high performance Class 40!

Our 5 day Channel Cruise Adventures have a flexible itinerary to maximise the wind direction- why beat to windward for days when you could cruise nicely on a beam reach?

Head west along the Dorset coast and beyond in to Devon and Cornwall or head south to France and the Channel Islands. Don’t forget your passport! Cruising a Class 40 at 10 knots or more opens up opportunities to explore further afield in a short space of time.

Our channel cruise this year, will be our Brittany Cruise 23rd – 27th April. This will depart from Gosport and take in the Channel Islands, West Country and the North and South Brittany Coasts. Our destination is Douaranez, Brittany for the start of the Grand Prix Guyader. Please note that the destination is not the same as the departure point, and that you will have to make your own travel arrangements from Douaranez. Minimum experience level is Competent Crew.

We currently only have one channel cruise this year, our Brittany Cruise (23rd-27th April 2018).

Our Channel Cruise Adventures are 5 days in length, enabling you time to explore the French coast or the West Country, hopefully both, but dependant on the weather.

Join fellow crew members on the first evening. After full safety brief and passage planning with our RYA skipper, you will head out of the Solent to explore new places, returning on your final afternoon. Be as involved as you like – you can gain passage planning experience and take on the navigation, with coaching and advice from an RYA instructor. There is plenty of opportunity for night hours and watch keeping.

There is no pressure to always remain with the group once our sailing has finished for the day. If you want to walk, shop, explore, or just be in your own space that is just fine!

The minimum qualification level for these trips is RYA Competent Crew level

As with all our sailing, the final itinerary is dependent upon the weather.

The cost of our Brittany Cruise is £550 per person.
See our FAQ for details on what is included. Read Carolyn’s excellent two part blog for insight into what its like to sail with us.
