America’s Cup Sailing Day

£200 – £250  Book_Button_Small

A unique opportunity to be part of the America’s Cup World Series racing from Portsmouth in July 2016. See Sir Ben Ainslie competing on his AC45 catamaran alongside teams from around the world. This is to be one of the biggest sailing events hosted in the Solent – and you can be here!

Meet your skipper, first mate and fellow crew members at 09.00hrs. First we will talk to you about safety, followed by a hands on introduction to your yacht.

We then sail out of historic Portsmouth Harbour, past the many sights including Ben Ainslie Racing and the iconic Spinnaker Tower, through the entrance for the start of your America’s Cup sailing day. We will carry out sailing manoeuvres and you will have the chance to helm and crew our high performance racing yacht, giving you a taste of the technology, physicality and concepts involved in racing. We will then stop for lunch by the race course to watch the racing.

We sail back into our Marina for 16.30 allowing time for a well deserved cup of tea and slice of home made cake, before you depart for home at 17.00hrs- full of fresh air and America’s Cup sailing memories!

One of our RYA instructors will be on board as skipper of the day. They will ensure that you are safe and sufficiently confident to be involved in all aspects of sailing the yacht. There will also be a first mate on board to ensure that you are well looked after.

Select a day from our America’s Cup Sailing Day Programme for July 2016. Thursday is a practice day, Friday is practice racing, Saturday is race day and Sunday is the final. If you wish to talk dates with us then please send us a message or give us a call.
