Description

Race in individual Royal Offshore Racing Club (RORC) races onboard our Class 40. For those that cannot commit to a whole campaign, this is the perfect opportunity to get a taste of Offshore sailing. This year we are offering 1 more RORC race as a single race, in 2017 we’ll be offering a selection.

RORC Cherbourg race plus training day £450pp (2nd-4th September 2016)

Training: 0900 Friday 2nd September. Until 1400. Late lunch ashore, Gosport. 1600 Depart Gosport for more practice en route to start. Race: Friday 2nd September 1850 first warning signal. Return Sunday 4th September

The Cherbourg race is one of the shorter of the Channel Races (75NM), starting off Cowes, the course will head East out of the Solent on Friday evening, before night racing across to Cherbourg using a watch system. We will stop for a few hours at Cherbourg, before returning home to Gosport.

RORC Cervantes race plus training day £450 pp (TBC 2017)

Training: 0900 – 1700 Friday TBC 2017. Race: Saturday Morning TBC 2017

The RORC Cervantes race starts off Cowes and finishes in Le Havre via marks. The course will be approximately 95-150NM. We intend to spend some time in Le Havre, before cruising back on Sunday.

RORC De Guingand Bowl race plus training day £450 pp (TBC 2017)

Training: 0900 – 1700 Friday TBC 2017. Race: Saturday Morning TBC 2017.

The De Guingand Bowl course will be designed to last between 24 and 36 hours and start and finish from Cowes. The distance and marks will be determined by the weather conditions on the day. Perfect for those who want to just do the racing without the shore and cruise back part!

RORC St Malo race plus training day £550 pp (TBC 2017)

Training: 0900 – 1700 Thursday TBC 2017. Race: Friday Morning TBC 2017

The RORC St Malo race is one of the longer Channel races (150NM), starting off Cowes, heading to the West of Guernsey before heading South to St Malo. We will spend a few hours ashore if tides allow (There is a sill to clear). Alternatively we may head to Guernsey after the finish for a shore visit, before returning to Gosport.
