Race onboard Fortissimo, our Class 40, for one RORC race. A training day before hand is required and included. Minimum experience level required is Competent Crew with a reasonable level of fitness.
Race in individual Royal Offshore Racing Club (RORC) races onboard our Class 40. For those that cannot commit to a whole campaign, this is the perfect opportunity to get a taste of Offshore sailing. This year we are offering 1 more RORC race as a single race, in 2017 we’ll be offering a selection.
RORC St Malo race plus training day £550 pp
Training: 0900 – 1700 Thursday 12th July. Race: Friday Morning 13th July 2018
The RORC St Malo race is one of the longer Channel races (150NM), starting off Cowes, heading to the West of Guernsey before heading South to St Malo. We will spend a few hours ashore if tides allow (There is a sill to clear). Alternatively we may head to Guernsey after the finish for a shore visit, before returning to Gosport.
RORC Channel race plus training day £450pp
Training: 0900-1700 Friday 27th July. Race: Saturday 28th July
The Channel race is an offshore round the cans course designed to take 24-36 hours, starting off Cowes, the course will head out of the Solent on Saturday morning, before night racing around the channel using a watch system. The race will finish off Cowes, then we will return home to Gosport.
